Joseph's First Snow Day with Daddy

We're getting drilled with snow today, which led to a snow day for Daddy! What a great surprise for the boys...Joseph got to play for the first time in the snow. Daddy and J went sledding in our baby pool (we were not perpared, but very resourceful) down the hill onto the fairway (greenskeeper will love them once this melts). After a chilly morning of play, they came into a cup of warm hot chocolate...ahhhh!!!

The Newport Aquarium

This past Saturday we loaded up the boys and headed to the Newport Aquarium. Just recently Joseph has had an interest in the moving "Finding Nemo" and we thought it would be a great place to let him explore. It was so much fun to see and hear the little guy run from one exhibit to another. He would point and pound on the tanks, roar at the sharks, hiss at the snakes, and trying to watch him walk over the plexiglass floor that looked into the water and fish beneath us was so funny. Aidan was a trooper as well, he strolled in his stroller & he loved it when I put him in the Baby Bjorn because then he was part of the action. I don't know who had more fun, the boys or Brad and I.

Brotherly Love

Joseph and Aidan love each other...there's no doubt. Whenever J walks in the room A's face lights up and his arms and legs start going; likewise, whenever J sees A he has a huge grin and waves to his brother repeating "hi"! It's truly a blessing to be able to experience the beginnings of what I pray will be a loving and true relationship...brothers!

I tried to capture Joseph giving his baby brother a kiss, but my cameras delay always missed it; but you will be able to see how Aidan is bending over backwards (almost) to follow his brother across the room. Too cute!

Enter"train"ment Junction (Take 2)

We visited Entertrainment Junction again over the New Year's break. Joseph is a little "obsessed" with Thomas and we knew that he would get a kick out of it. Which we were correct...we had to bribe him with a lemonade, after we conviently hid the Thomas figurines from him. Aidan was a good sport and went along with the action...God love him!

Our Little Slugger...

Aidan looked so adorable in a baseball sleeper that his Grandma got for him that we couldn't resist putting Joseph's Reds baseball cap on him. Check our little guy out...can you believe he is already 5 months old?!!!

Tennessee Christmas

We traveled to Tennessee on the 25th. The boys were finally able to meet most of my family since they've been born. It was also the first time the cousins (Joseph, Aidan, and Christoff) were ever together. Joseph loved chasing his older cousin around. We have some cute video of Joseph playing "football" with his cousins that I will try to upload soon. I think our Tennesse Christmas is going to become a tradition with our family.

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was amazing. I loved watching Joseph's expression when he saw his train table and all of this new Thomas the Tank Engine characters. Although, Brad and I discovered that our gifts paled in comparison to Santas...we had a time tearing his attention away from the trains in order for him to open his other gifts. Aidan was along for the ride and enjoyed his mommy and daddy time, as always. Later that day we headed out for our journey to Tennessee!

Christmas Eve Night

We followed up our Christmas Eve breakfast with a night with the extended Meyer Family. It's always so much fun to catch up with everyone. The family is growing so fast, with new babies & marriages...we can barely fit in a room together. We're so grateful that Uncle Paul and Aunt Katie open their hearts and home to us each year.

Christmas Eve Morning

I finally can catch my breath and update the blog. The holidays were so much fun, but not very relaxing...there's nothing like experience the Spirit of Christmas through the eyes of your child. We celebrated with both sets of families, Ohio and Tennesse, in a few short days. The boys met some of my family for the first time, which meant so much to me. And thankfully, Brad was able to spend the following week of New Years with us...it was truly a blessing.
