BIG NEWS!!!!!

Yes, it's what you think....Brad and I are expecting again!!! We decided that we would stop not trying and see what would happen; well, a new little bundle to love is heading our way! I know the babies will be close in age (15 months apart), but God only blesses us with gifts that we can handle. We are so excited to finally share the news. Oh, by the way, I'm almost 11 weeks and the due date is August 17th. Keep our little bun in the oven in your prayers!

The family....

We joined some of Brad's family for their annual Sanibel vacation. Here are some shots of the family...it served as a great opportunity to spend some time with everyone...especially Joey with his grandma, grandpa, and paw paw.

The many faces of Joey...

Joey is a very animated little boy...since birth, he has been the master of making all kinds of faces and entertaining his mommy and daddy to no end. On our recent trip to Florida, he spent 5 minutes sitting in a chair and displaying his repertoire of faces. He's our "Mr. Magoo".

A Sweet Treat!

Now, I know, I know...babies aren't suppose to have dairy and sugar until their a year. But, Bruce (grandpa) has been wanting to take Joey for ice cream since he was born. On the spur of the moment, we decided that he could have a small taste of grandpa's ice cream cone. Joey's eyes opened wide as soon as the sweetness hit his mouth. He's still alive, no ill effects, other than his next tooth, may very well be his "sweet tooth".

JOEY LOVES THE WATER!!! I can't believe he is the son of a mother who feared the water with all of her being as a child. I'm so thankful that he takes after good ole' dad! As soon as Brad took him the pool, he plopped to his belly and started kicking his feet. We couldn't believe our eyes, and Brad's grin was priceless. He spent a lot of time in the pool and we introduced him to the ocean (he just put his feet in that...we'll save swimming for next year maybe).

Finally....our trip to Florida!

We took our first family vacation the day after Christmas, arriving in warm Sanibel Island, Florida by lunchtime. I must admit I had been dreading the flight with an infant since we booked the trip, but our little guy was such a trooper. He handled the altitude like a champ, slept for over an hour, and had such a great demeanor as soon as we set foot on Florida soil. Who knows, maybe he's going to be a beach/water lover like his father!

Christmas Morning

Joey was such a good boy this year, that Santa stopped by our house and delivered such fun gifts for the little guy. He was actually more interested in the wrapping paper, than anything else....enjoy!

Christmas with the Meyer's

A few days later, on Christmas Eve, we celebrated Christmas with the Meyer side of the family. If this is a sign of what's to come, then I believe Santa is going to have a hard time keeping up with the family!!! I can't believe that this is our (Brad and me) 9th Christmas together!!!! Wow, how life has changed....it's so sweet!
