Aunt Michelle's Birthday Celebration

We celebrated our sister-in-law's birthday on Sunday...it was a great time to get together and spend some time with one another. We enjoyed yummy pizza and delicious desserts...and Joey got to spend time with his godmother, Michelle. I loved being able to play with Ruby (she was a little angel when she slept on my chest), because I hardly get to see her, since Brad and I live on the opposite side of town.
Plus, it was fun to see Brad and Joe feeding the little ones. "Clark...we're waiting for you to be in the next picture!"

Who Dey!!!

Since training camp has started and football is right around the corner, we couldn't wait to dress Joey in his first Bengal sleeper. The kid has so many Bengal outfits, that I believe he'll be decked out the entire season! Also, check out Sammie...poor thing, the story of her life since Joey's been here.

Okay, I know I'm biased, but I think the little guy is adorable! Here are his 6 week pictures...we'll have his 3 month pics in a couple of weeks! Can you belive he is already 10 weeks old..time flies!

Even though I am an "Ohioan", I've vowed to raise Joey as a Volunteer! Never before, until I moved away from Tennessee, did this mean so much to me, but I hope he knows where Mommy comes from! Check out the onesie we got in Knoxville...GO VOLS!

The 3 pregnant Meyer women!!!

Many of you know, but for those who don't, there were 3 pregnant Meyer wives this year!!!
Brad's brother, Joe, and his wife, Michelle, had baby girl (in the picture), Ruby Elizabeth, on April 4th.
Our son, Joseph Bradley, was born May 18th.
His brother, Clark, and his wife, Shelley, have a little girl that is due any day.
It was a great experience to be able to share our pregnancies together...and the little ones will always have someone their age to play with!

Joey's Namesakes

Joey was named after two very important men in our family. The first being Brad's grandfather; he is a wonderful man, full of spunk and love for his family. The second being Brad's brother; another great man, who would give you the shirt off of his back, even if it was his last one! I can already see characteristics in Joey, at 10 weeks, that resemble his Great-grandpa Joe and Uncle Joe. He is a loving, happy, and very headstrong little boy....just like his namesakes!

Joseph Bradley Meyer

Brad and I knew that we wanted to start our family sooner, rather than later, as we had been together for 7 years and were not getting any younger. We made the decision to start "trying" on our Napa Valley vacation over Labor Day Weekend. Needless to say, we were both pleasantly surprised to get pregnant in Napa. The funny thing is, however, that we bought cases of wine to be sent home and enjoyed...I found out we were pregnant soon after the cases of wine arrived in Cincy. My one and only rule for Brad was that he could not open any of the bottles we bought until after the baby was born. He agreed...yea!!!
Our son, Joseph Bradley Meyer, was born on May 18th 2007. We knew he was going to be a big baby because I had been measuring big the entire pregnancy...we were right...he weighed 9 pounds 11 ounces and was 21 1/4 inches long.
We have truly been blessed with such a beautiful and healthy baby!

Our Wedding!

Brad and I were married July 2, 2006 in Keystone, Colorado at 11,000 feet. It was a day filled with laughter, tears, and awe. After a spectacular downpour and new arrangements made to move the wedding indoors, we arrived atop the mountain via a 4x4 excursion to a most amazing view. We heard from more than one person that it felt as though we were in heaven, due to the mist rising from the mountains. The entire experience, with 50 of our closest family and friends, will be forever in my mind and heart.
