Joey's 3 month pictures

We had Joey's 3 month pictures taken last week. He was so cooperative and hammed it up for the camera. I can't believe how time flies...he's 15 weeks today! Just to share a few of his milestones: he can sit assisted with control of his head (yea!) and he's reaching for toys (especially on his playmat). He loves the song "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" and the rhyme "Humpty Dumpty." Also, he's started to rock when he is having "tummy time"...just waiting for him to roll over. It's amazing that these little things fill our lives with such excitement. Thank God for our healthy little guy!!!!!

Joey and Will- BFF

Brad and I have a friends with a year old son named Will. We always refer to Will as "Joey's best friend"! Well, the boys finally met this week...yea! Although, as usual for Joey, his patience can sometimes be tried when in new situations. Will, on the other hand, was very interested in Joey's little face. Too cute!

Oh, deer...

We have a deer sanctuary in our neighborhood and some mornings we get great glimpses of deer in our yard. This is a deer family we spotted on Sunday morning.

What a great day! Joey was baptized at our church on Sunday...it was amazing how calm Joey was. Brian, our pastor, has a definite gift and a peace about him that made the experience so meaningful. I'm proud to bring Joey up with such a loving family, church, and God!

ATP Tennis Tournament- James Blake

We went to the tennis tournament Saturday night...saw James Blake beat Davydenko.

Joey loves Ruby

Joey and Ruby spent the day together on Sunday. It was so much fun to watch as the two of them discovered one another. They were gazing at one another and holding hands...oh so sweet. Joey's going to love playing with his 2 girl cousins and Brad's going to love it when Joey comes home with his fingernails painted!!!

FINALLY...all three of the Meyer cousins are here and have met!

The newest Meyer!!!

Jillian Marie was born August 7 at around 5 p.m. She weighed 9lbs. 110z. (although Clark says it was 9lbs. 11.5 oz...the paperwork on the bassinet read 9/11...we're not competitive, are we???) and was 21 1/4 inches long. She is the exact size of Joey at birth...we make huge babies apparently. She is beautiful and Clark & Shelley are doing great...so in love with the little one!

Our Babymoon!

We enjoyed a "Babymoon" in December (right after we found out we were having a boy)! We went to Savannah, Georgia. It was honestly one of the most beautiful cities I've ever seen!

South Africa!

To our South African family...here's Joey thinking of his cousin Christoff and Uncle Christoffel. I've also added a picture of Christoff...because he's just the cutest thing...love him!

He's got a way...

Brad has a way with Joey... he can get him calmed down....or better yet, to sleep, just by talking to him. He's on a kick now of making up stories about the family or things they will do when he grows up...it's amazing how Joey just gazes at him and chills out! God bless him!

The final countdown....

Shelley and Clark came over for dinner Friday night...Shelley was 4 days past her due date!!! She had a great attitude though, especially being 9 months pregnant and in 90+ degree heat. Our new little niece should arrive Monday, because she is being induced tonight.
By the way, Joey loved lounging with his godfather, Uncle Clark.
