Aidan's 2 week appointment

Aidan has his 2 week appointment last Friday (I know I'm a week late posting the info...life is crazy with 2) and he is doing great. He gained 1 pound in a week (from his 1 week appt. to his 2 week appt.); weighing in at 10 pounds 13 ounces...Dr. W says breastfeeding is obviously working with the little guy.

Height 23.5 (97th percentile)

Weight 10.13 pounda (90-95th percentile)

Head Circumference 75th percentile (can't remember the measurement)

His circumcision has healed wonderfully! He's an overall healthy baby. We truly feeled blessed!

Joseph's 15 month checkup...

We had Joseph's well-baby check up this morning. Here are his current stats...

Height 33.5 inches (97th percentile)

Weight 28.12 pounds (90-95th percentile)

Head circumference...can't remember, but above the curve (gets it from his mommy)

He is healthy and happy! Dr. Wallace is pleased with his development and disposition. He says he is a very happy little guy. He knows 5-10 words, which is great for this age; however, he's not walking on his own yet. Little man is cruising everywhere and will hold your fingers and walk forever, but does not have the confidence as of yet to walk on his own. Dr. Wallace says not to worry...that we'll probaby be surprised in the next month, or so, with how he'll take off.

Who's been sitting in my chair?

The first morning we were together as a family, Joseph discovered Aidan's bouncy chair. Without hesitation, he climbed right in the chair with his bottle and relaxed while watching Boohbah on the TV. It was too cute!

God has blessed me with three wonderful boys to share my life with; what more could one ask for?

By the way, Joseph is adapting well to life with a baby brother. He kisses him, will hand me Aidan's pacifier to give to baby brother, & always is interested as to where his future sidekick is. At the same time, he can tune out his little brother's cries and go on with his business without missing a step.

As promised, here are some pictures of our newest addition. Aidan is a great baby, so far he is very mellow and only cries when he's hungry or gassy. Breastfeeding is going extremely well (knock on wood) and with all hopes he will have gained weight at his first pediatrician appointment this Friday.

He was not so little....weighing in at 10lbs. 7 oz. and was 23 1/2 inches long!

How BIG will baby Meyer be?

Okay...Brad and I make big babies. It's no wonder since Brad was 10lbs. 6oz. and I was 9lbs. 13oz...but the last prediction of my doctor as to the size of our new bundle, left my chin on the ground. The doc is predicting 10.5-11 pounder!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe that? 11 pounds! Joseph was born at 38 weeks (due to size) and weighed 9lbs. 11oz. and if things go as scheduled, I'll deliver our new baby boy at 39 weeks. One week longer to cook and put on some weight. Apparently, the baby is broad, wide, with a big head (large head circumference comes from my side of the family :), from what the doctors can feel and how big my belly is....looks like we only grow linebackers.
To quote one of the doc's in my practice, "It's a good thing you're having a C-section!"

Look for updates this weekend (or as soon as I can get to my computer)...the go day is this Friday.

1 week to go...

So the end is in sight...a week from today, God willing, we will be holding our new son in our arms. This pregnancy has definitely been a challenge physically (you name it, I've probably dealt or am dealing with it), but has passed by in what seems a minute. I am sitting here, while my two boys are out for a quick run to the store, thinking how blessed I am. I am blessed to have such a wonderful & supportive husband, a beautiful son that surprises me everyday with his spirit, smile, and growth, an extremely loving family (both near and far), a church family that has welcomed us with open arms, and friends (old and new) that genuinely care for us. So, may I say thank you for all to hear and God bless.

I'll keep you updated; but as of right now we are scheduled for our C-section @ 9am EST. Please keep us in your prayers, especially for our new little guy!
