Thomas and Friends Live!
Brad and I took Joseph to see Thomas and Friends Live in Dayton for his birthday. It was such a treat to be able to spend the afternoon with just Joseph. I call it our "date"...after the show we went to dinner and then headed home. He loved the show, although it took him until intermission to get what was going on...by the second half he was clapping and wiggling to the music. Big thanks goes to Michelle and Ruby for watching Aidan...we owe you one!
Joseph 2 year stats
Joseph had his 2 year checkup the same day as Aidan's 9 month...love our ped. office for scheduling them together! Joseph is still huge...if you see him you do not think he just turned 2...someone guessed his age at 4 once. His vocabulary is growing daily, at last count he had about 30 words and a couple of 2-3 words sentences. He runs everywhere, allbeit a little clumsily :), and is curious about EVERYTHING! He loves trains, trucks and balls and to push his brother around in his walker...they get going on our hard wood floors. Best of all, he is starting to cuddle with mommy again...the highlight of my days, especially when I'm about to lose my mind!

Aidan- 9 months stats
We had Aidan's 9 month check-up and our baby is growing, healthy, and happy. He's right on target with all of his milestones and like Joseph, is quite a big guy. He's got his 2 bottom teeth 7 working on more...Dr. sees his 2 eye teeth trying to work their way out & I just noticed 2 little white spots on his upper gums...can you say "drool bucket"! He is not crawling, but scoots everywhere & is soooo strong and quick. Aidan is such a good baby...such a blessing.

He's a little smaller than J was at this age (weight wise), but just as healthy!
Joseph's 2nd Birthday Party
Can you believe J is 2!!!! I can't...it seems like last week that I was swaddling him and rocking him and NOW...he runs everywhere and has so much energy that I need a nap come mid-day. The proverbial "they" were not kidding when they said that time flies...it does, and although I love to see both him and Aidan grow and thrive, my heart is a little saddened by the loss of my baby. Who am I kidding...he always be my baby!
Mother's Day Party
Joseph's school hosted a Mother's Day Picnic recently. I was so excited to share this special day with him. Once I got there he ran over to me with such bright eyes, which made my entire week. We began by sitting on our blanket and enjoying a snack of Cheerios and raisins while we listened to music performed by the schools music teacher. Joseph had a chance to strum the guitar, although he hit it rather than strum...."we" have to learn to do things EASY. That was followed with bouncing Elmo on a blanket; however, once J lost sight of me (I had moved to try to get a pic) he was not interested in that game & came straight over to me. And to end our picnic, we planted sunflower seeds...unfortunately the plant lasted until that afternoon when J decided he wanted to put in the back of his Tonka dump truck. I love school parties!
