New Ultrasound Photos

I've had these ultrasound photos for about 3 weeks now...finally sat down to scan and download. Enjoy...as earlier predicted...IT'S A BOY! The name is a secret until arrival!!!!!!

Earthquake!!!

For those of you who don't live near the New Madrid Fault (Illinois/Indiana area) or who didn't watch the news yesterday, we had a genuine tremor in the Cincy area. I was (unfortunately) awake at the time of the tremor (as I've been having trouble sleeping...due to discomfort and, I think, the worry of having 2 babies soon), watching the news in the living room with our dog Sammie. The house was quiet and dark, when all of the sudden everything starting rattling! I honestly thought Brad was running through the bedroom really forcefully; but, according to the news about 5 minutes later, we had had ourselves an Earthquake. I couldn't believe it... only in the Meyer house...not even an aftershock can awake my sleeping boys....both Brad and Joseph stayed sound asleep! God bless them!

Zoo Blooms

This past Sunday was such a beautiful day that my sister-in-law, Shelley; niece, Jillian; and Shelley's mom met at the Cincinnati Zoo for their annual Zoo Blooms. It was still to early in the season for any real "blooms", but it was great being outside nonetheless. Joseph and Jillian had a great time; he especially loved Monkey island (with the red-butt monkeys) & the polar bears. By the end of our day there, we were all pooped...especially the little ones!

A travelin' man...

so we put Joseph in his walker for the first time a couple of weeks ago and let me be the first to tell everyone..."Joseph loves to move!" Sammie (our dog) is in for it now, wherever she goes...he goes!

Our new gates & TV

We are in the process of re-doing our living room (new sofa & plasma TV) and finally put up baby gates (kudos to Brad and our cousin-in-law Eric for matching the iron and wood perfectly)...just in time for the little guy to start cruising. Just thought I'd share some pics; please ignore the mismatched sofas...we were waiting on our new chairs to be delivered.

My little character..

Joseph put on a little show for Mommy yesterday. He was rolling and "crawling" all around the bed, while making cute little faces, chewing on his paci, and attacking the camera. Notice the hair...after his bath it's wavy (maybe it's going to be like Mommy's after all).
Also, he reminds me so much of my cousin, Ryan, in these pictures. Genetics are amazing!

Easter Sunday

Our little baby is turning into a little boy! After attending church with friends from Tennessee, we went to my Nanaw's house for Easter lunch. I hadn't seen some of my relatives since I was in high school and now I'm a married mother of 1 1/2. How proud I was to share my family with my extended family.
